उत्तराखंड के दो लाल हुए शहीद।
देश : उत्तराखंड के लिए एक दुखद खबर जम्मू कश्मीर बॉर्डर से सामने आई है। जम्मू कश्मीर के बारामुला के उड़ी सेक्टर में पाकिस्तानी गोलाबारी में उत्तराखंड के दो जवान शहीद हो गए है। दोनों ही जवान जनपद पिथौरागढ़ के है। शहीद जवानों में 21 कुमाऊं रेजिमेंट के नायक शंकर सिंह मेहरा और गोकर्ण सिंह के नाम सामने आए है। सैनिकों की शहादत की खबर मिलते ही पिथौरागढ़ जिले सहित प्रदेश में शोक की लहर छा गई है।
दोनों शहीदों का पार्थिव शरीर कल (रविवार) बरेली हेडक्वार्टर पहुँचेगा जहां से सड़क मार्ग या हवाई मार्ग के जरिये पार्थिव शरीर को पिथौरागढ़ लाया जाएगा।
प्राप्त जानकारी के अनुसार कुमाऊँ रेजिमेंट में तैनात शहीद नायक शंकर सिंह मेहरा गंगोलीहाट तहसील के नाली गांव का निवासी है। जबकि शहीद गोकर्ण सिंह मुनस्यारी तहसील के नापड गाँव के निवासी हैं।
