मसूरी : 49वें जैकी स्मृति फुटबॉल प्रतियोगिता का फाइनल मैच सेंट जॉर्ज कॉलेज और यूनाइटेड क्लब ऑफ मसूरी के बीच खेला गया कांटे के मुकाबले में यूनाइटेड क्लब मसूरी ने 2-1 से जीत दर्ज कर ट्राफी कब्जाई। प्रतियोगिता के अंत में आईटीबीपी अकादमी के निदेशक आईजी पीएस डंगवाल ने विजेता टीम को ट्राफी भेंट की।
सेंट जार्ज कालेज के मैदान में खेले गये प्रतिष्ठित जैकी फुटबाल प्रतियोगिता का फाइनल मुकाबला सेंट जार्ज ए टीम व यूनाइटेड क्लब मसूरी के बीच खेला गया। प्रतियोगिता में दोनों टीमों के खिलाडियों ने बेहतरीर खेल का प्रदर्शन किया। लेकिन आखिर में कांटे के मुकाबले में यूनाइटेड क्लब मसूरी ने सेंट जार्ज को 2-1 से हराकर फाइनल मुकाबला जीत लिया। मैच के पहले हाफॅ में सेंट जार्ज कालेज का पलड़ा भारी रहा व टीम के पंकज राणा ने 13वें मिनट में एक गोल कर टीम को बढत दिला दी। लेकिन दूसरे हॉफ में यूनाइटेड क्लब के खिलाडियों ने बेहतर खेल का प्रदर्शन करते हुए अंतिम समय में दो गोल किए व 2-1 से बढत बना ली, जिसमें यूनाइटेड की ओर से प्रताप पंवार ने 56वें मिनट व 75वें मिनट में दो गोल दाग कर टीम को जिता दिया। सेंटजार्ज के खिलाडियों ने अंत तक कई प्रयास गोल उतारने के लिए किए लेकिन सफल नहीं हो पाये व अंत में यूनाइटेड क्लब ने फाइनल मुकाबला जीत लिया। प्रतियोगिता के पुरस्कार मुख्य अतिथि ने वितरित किए जिसमें विजयी टीम को तीस हजार रूपये, व ट्राफी दी गई वहीं उपविजेता टीम को 25 हजार व ट्राफी दी गई। वहीं द ओएसिस स्कूल देहरादून को मोस्ट प्रोमेसिंग टीम का खिताब व यूनाइटेट क्लब क ेपदम को गोल्डन बूट का खिताब दिया गया। इस मौके पर प्रतियोगिता के मुख्य अतिथि आईटीबीपी अकादमी के निदेशक व आईजी पीएस डंगवाल ने कहा कि उनकी शिक्षा-दीक्षा भी इसी स्कूल से हुई है और यहां आकर उन्हें गौरव महसूस हो रहा है। उन्होंने कहा कि आज के युग में जहां बच्चे मोबाइल और लैपटॉप तक ही सीमित हो गए हैं वहीं सेंट जॉर्ज कॉलेज द्वारा लगातार खेल प्रतियोगिताओं का आयोजन किया जाता है जिससे बच्चों के शरीर का विकास के साथ ही उनका मनोबल भी बढ़ता है। उन्होंने सभी तीनों को बधाई देते हुए कहा कि हर प्रतियोगिता में एक टीम जीतती है लेकिन प्रतियोगिता में प्रतिभाग करना है सबसे बड़ी बात है। इस मौके पर स्कूल के प्रधानाचार्य जोजेफ एम जोजेफ ने बताया कि इस प्रतियोगिता में कुल 32 टीमों ने प्रतिभाग किया। उन्होंने कहा कि पिछले 2 वर्षों से कोरोना के चलते प्रतियोगिता आयोजित नहीं की जा सकी थी लेकिन इस बार करोना गाइडलाइन का पालन करते हुए प्रतियोगिता आयोजित की गई है और अगले वर्ष 50 वर्ष पूरे होने पर इस प्रतियोगिता को भव्य रूप दिया जाएगा। इस मौके पर नगर पालिकाध्यक्ष अनुज गुप्ता, ब्रदर जोसफ एम जोसफ प्रधानाचार्य सेंट जॉर्ज कॉलेज मसूरी, ब्रदर शाजू थॉमस उप-प्रधानाचार्य सेंट जॉर्ज कॉलेज मसूरी, ब्रदर पीयू जॉर्ज सुपीरियर एवं स्पोर्टस सेक्रेटरी सेंट जॉर्ज कॉलेज मसूरी, ब्रदर टॉमी वर्गिस पूर्व प्रधानाचार्य सेंट जॉर्ज कॉलेज मसूरी, ब्रदर एस्थिनस कुजूर उप-प्रधानाचार्य सेंट जोसफ अकेडमी देहरादून, स्पोर्टस को-ऑर्डिनेटर आनंद थापा, भवनेश नेगी व सेंट जॉर्ज कॉलेज मसूरी के स्पोर्टस डिपार्टमेंट के सभी सदस्य व शिक्षकगण उपस्थित रहे। टूर्नामेंट में अभि गुरूंग, पुष्कर गुंसाई, बलविंदर व रोहन चमोली ने रेफरी की भूमिका निभाई।
