नैनीताल में हर्षोउल्लास के साथ मनायी गई राष्ट्रपिता महात्मा गॉंधी तथा देश के पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री भारत रत्न स्वः लाल बहादुर शास्त्री की जयंती।
नैनीताल : राष्ट्रपिता महात्मा गॉंधी तथा देश के पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री भारत रत्न स्वः लाल बहादुर शास्त्री की जयंती जनपद भर में हर्षोउल्लास के साथ मनायी गई। जिलाधिकारी धीराज सिंह गर्ब्याल ने कलैक्ट्रेट में गॉधी जी व लाल बहादुर शास्त्री के चित्रों का अनवारण कर, उनको श्रद्धा सुमन अर्पित किये। इसके अलावा शासकीय भवनो पर राष्ट्रीय ध्वज भी फैराया गया तथा आयोजित कार्यक्रमों में राम धुन के गायन के साथ ही राष्ट्रपिता महात्मा गॉंधी तथा लाल बहादुर शास्त्री के व्यक्तित्व एवं उनके द्वारा किये गये कार्यों पर चर्चा की गयी।
जिलाधिकारी ने महात्मा गांधी व पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री लाल बहादुर शास्त्री जी के जीवन तथा उनके द्वारा देश की आजादी में योगदान के बारे में प्रकाश डालते हुए कहा कि हमें उनके सपनों को साकार करने के लिए उनके आदर्शो एवं बताये हुए मार्ग पर चलना चाहिए। उन्होंने कहा कि गॉधी जी की सिद्धांत सत्य अंहिसा, अन्तोदय आदि न केवल प्रासांगिक है बल्कि भारतीय समाज की एक मजबूत जड़ के रूप में भी स्थापित है, जो हमें उच्च विचारों एवं परस्पर सहयोग की भावना से जीवन यापन करते हुए एक स्वस्थ व मजबूत समाज बनाने के लिए प्रेरित करते है। उन्होंने कहा कि हमे अपने कार्यों एवं दायित्वों का निर्वहन पूरी निष्ठा व ईमानदारी से देश व समाज हित में करना चाहिए, यहीं महापुरूषों के प्रति सच्ची श्रद्धांजलि होगी।
इसके उपरांत जिलाधिकारी धीराज सिंह गर्ब्याल, एसएसपी पंकज भट्ट, एएसपी जगदीश चन्द्र, अपर जिलाधिकारी, शिचरचण द्विवेदी, उपजिलाधिकारी राहुल साह, तहसीलदार नवाजिश खालिद, नगर पालिका अधिशासी अधिकारी अशोक कुमार वर्मा के साथ अन्य अधिकारी, कर्मचारियों एवं जनप्रतिनिधियों द्वारा तल्लीताल डॉठ स्थित गॉधी जी की मूर्ति पर माल्यार्पण कर श्रद्धा सुमन अर्पित किये, वहीं प्रातः 6ः30 बजे से मल्लीताल पंत पार्क से तल्लीताल तक स्कूलों के बच्चों द्वारा राम धुन के गायन के साथ प्रभात फेरी भी निकाली गई। जिला सूचना कार्यालय नैनीताल में अपर जिला सूचना अधिकारी केएल टम्टा, वरिष्ठ पत्रकार नवीन जोशी , दीवानगिरी गोस्वामी, मोहन चन्द्र फुलारा, प्रकाश पाण्डे, उमेद सिंह जीना ने गॉधी जी व लाल बहादुर शास्त्री के चित्रों पर श्रद्धा सुमन पुष्प् अर्पित किये।
