कोविड के दृष्टिगत प्रदेश में आयुर्वेदिक चिकित्सकों को एलोपैथिक दवाईयों के प्रयोग की अनुमति दिये जाने के लिए कैबिनेट मंत्री गणेश जोशी ने लिखा स्वास्थ्य सचिव को पत्र।

देहरादून : कैबिनेट मंत्री गणेश जोशी ने स्वास्थ्य सचिव को पत्र लिखकर कोविड के दृष्टिगत प्रदेष में आयुर्वेदिक चिकित्सकों को एलोपैथिक दवाईयों के प्रयोग की अनुमति दिये जाने के लिए कार्यवाही करने को कहा है।
उन्होंने स्वास्थ्य सचिव को लिखे अपने पत्र में कहा है कि राज्य गठन के बाद से ही आयुर्वेदिक एवं युनानी चिकित्सकों द्वारा निरन्तर अपनी सेवाऐं राज्य के सुदूवर्ती क्षेत्रों में दी जा रही है। चिकित्सकों द्वारा समय-समय पर राष्ट्रीय एवं प्रदेश स्तर के कार्यक्रमों, यात्राओं, आपदाओं एवं कुम्भ मेले में कार्य किया जाता है। आयुर्वेदिक चिकित्सा पद्धति के चिकित्सक अपनी शिक्षा के दौरान आधुनिक चिकित्सा विज्ञान से जुड़े सभी विशयों को पढ़ते हैं। पूर्ववर्ती एवं वर्तमान कोविड-19 महामारी के दौरान भी आयुर्वेदिक चिकित्सकों द्वारा चिकित्सा विभाग के चिकित्सकों के साथ कंधे से कंधा मिलाकर कार्य किया जा रहा है। उन्होनें यह भी लिखा है कि कोविड-19 महामारी के दृश्टिगत राज्य के आयुर्वेदिक चिकित्सकों को आकस्मिक स्थिति में एलोपैथिक दवाईयों के प्रयोग की अनुमति दी जानी नितान्त आवश्यक हो गयी है। विदित है कि कोविड के बढ़ते प्रकोप के दृष्टिगत उत्तर प्रदेश, हिमाचल प्रदेश, छतीसगढ़ जैसे कई अन्य राज्य अपने आयुर्वेदिक चिकित्सकों को एलोपैथिक दवाईयां लिखे जाने पर अनुमति प्रदान कर चुके हैं।
उन्होनें कहा कि उत्तर प्रदेश एवं अन्य राज्यों द्वारा आयुर्वेदिक चिकित्सकों को आकस्मिक स्थिति में एलोपैथिक दवाईयों के प्रयोग की अनुमति का संदर्भ लेते हुए उत्तराखण्ड में भी आयुर्वेदिक चिकित्सकों को एलोपैथिक दवाईयों के प्रयोग की अनुमति दी जाए ताकि जनता को कोविड महामारी के दौरान स्वास्थ्य परामर्श सुलभ हो सके।
चूंकि यह देखा जा रहा है कि कोविड संक्रमण का प्रभाव शहरी क्षेत्रों से ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों की ओर हस्तान्तरित हो रहा है। दूसरी ओर, ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में पहले से मौजूद प्राथमिक स्वास्थ्य केन्द्र एवं सामुदायिक स्वास्थ्य केन्द्र तथा आयुर्वेदिक एवं युनानी पद्धति के चिकित्सालयों में चिकित्सक व अन्य स्टाफ की कमी है। ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में बढ़ रहे कोविड संक्रमण के दृष्टिगत उपलब्ध संसाधनों का अधिकतम लाभ लिये जाने की आवष्यकता है। ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में प्राथमिक उपचार मिल जाने से अस्पतालों में बढ़ रहे दबाव में भी कमी आऐगी तथा गम्भीर रोगियों हेतु अस्पताल उपलब्ध रहेंगे।
