शहीद दुर्गामल्ल के नाम पर डाक टिकट जारी, गोरखाली सुधार सभा के पदाधिकारीयों ने मंत्री जोशी और केंद्रीय मंत्री का जताया आभार।
देहरादून : देहरादून के न्यू कैंट रोड स्थित कैंप कार्यालय में गोरखाली सुधार सभा के अध्यक्ष एवम् पदाधिकारियो ने सैनिक कल्याण मंत्री गणेश जोशी से मुलाकात कर उनका आभार प्रकट किया है। दरअसल 25 अगस्त 2022 को गढ़ी कैंट में शहीद दुर्गा मल्ल के 78वें श्रद्धांजलि दिवस कार्यक्रम में उत्तराखंड राज्य नेपाली भाषा समिति की ओर से शहीद दुर्गा मल्ला पार्क में कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया गया था। जिसमे मुख्य अतिथि के तौर पर काबीना मंत्री गणेश जोशी ने शिरकत की थी। जिसमे गोरखाली सुधार सभा के अध्यक्ष एवम् पदाधिकारियों ने मंत्री जोशी से शहीद दुर्गामल्ल के नाम पर डाक टिकट जारी करने हेतु भारत सरकार से अनुरोध करने की बात कही थी।
सैनिक कल्याण मंत्री गणेश जोशी ने मामले का तुरंत संज्ञान लेते हुए केंद्रीय संचार, इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स एवं आईटी मंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव ने इस विषय पर पत्र लिखकर जानकारी साझा की और शहीद दुर्गामल्ल के नाम पर डाक टिकट जारी करने का अनुरोध किया। जिसके बाद अब भारत सरकार ने शहीद दुर्गामल्ल के नाम पर डाक टिकट जारी कर दिया है। जिसके लिए आज गोरखाली सुधार सभा के सभी पदाधिकारियों ने मंत्री गणेश जोशी और केंद्रीय मंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव का आभार व्यक्त किया है।
गौरतलब है कि शहीद दुर्गामल्ल के नाम डाल टिकट जारी होने से उनके परिवार में भी काफी खुश नजर आ रहा है। वहीं मंत्री गणेश जोशी ने कहा कि गोरखा स्वतंत्रता सेनानी शहीद मेजर दुर्गा मल्ल की स्मृति में एक डाक टिकट जारी करने का निर्णय लिया है। भारत की स्वतंत्रता के लिए आजाद हिंद फौज में शामिल होकर उन्होंने अपना सर्वोच्च बलिदान दिया था । यंहा तक कि उन्होंने अंग्रेंजी हुकूमत से मिले सभी प्रलोभनों को भी ठुकरा कर देश प्रेम को ही सर्वोपरि रखा था। मंत्री जोशी ने केंद्रीय मंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव का आभार भी व्यक्त किया। उन्होंने कहा सैनिकों के सम्मान ओर उनके कल्याण के लिए डबल इंजन की सरकार निरंतर प्रयासरत है।
इस अवसर पर गोरखली सुधार सभा के अध्यक्ष पीएस थापा, नेपाली भाषा समिति के अध्यक्ष मधुसूदन शर्मा, इंजी मेग बहादुर थापा, महासचिव श्याम राणा, राजन छेत्री, पूजा सुभा चंद, प्रभा शाह, बी.के. बरल आदि उपस्थित रहे।
